My new journey began a week ago, when I left my home and started travelling to Venice. I was a bit scared as I had never travelled this far away before, however, I was ready and excited to start a new life here.

The other day, I arrived in Venice and despite my fear of the unknown, I felt a strange feeling of calmness. I had never seen a place as beautiful as this. The air here was scented with the aroma of sea, the sky was painted with stars, and each night I felt my sadness and worries dissipate like fog.

Soon after, I met a boy named Scipio, who I had heard a lot about previously. He was the leader of a gang of street children who are also living in Venice, and we all decided to work together. That same day we were welcomed by a kindly priest who was willing to give us shelter, which came as an immense relief. We were also offered food and basic amenities, making it easier for us to make par with our new life.

Although living conditions are difficult, the camaraderie and friendship that I found among my friends here was enough to pull me through. I was beginning to realise that my new life in Venice was something I was destined for, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the chances I have been given here.

From this point on, I’m ready to embark on a new journey as a part of the Thief Lord gang in Venice.
