Once upon a time, in a small village in Zimbabwe, there lived a girl named Munenyasha and her younger brother Munopaishe. They lived with their parents in a small house made of mud and thatch. Munenyasha loved to play with her friend Jabu, who lived next door.

One day, Munenyasha and Jabu were playing outside when they saw a beautiful butterfly. Munenyasha said, “Look at that butterfly, it’s so pretty!” Jabu replied, “Yes, it’s a monarch butterfly. They are known for their bright orange and black wings.”

Munopaishe, who was listening to their conversation, asked, “What does ‘monarch’ mean?” Munenyasha explained that ‘monarch’ means a king or queen, and that the butterfly was named after the monarchs of Europe.

Their parents, who were sitting nearby, overheard the conversation and were impressed with Munenyasha’s knowledge. They said, “You are very smart, Munenyasha. You should keep learning new words and facts.”

From that day on, Munenyasha made it a point to learn new words every day. She would ask her parents and neighbours about the meaning of words she didn’t know. She also started reading books and listening to stories to learn new words.

One day, Munenyasha and Jabu were playing with a ball when it accidentally hit their neighbour’s window and broke it. Munenyasha was scared and didn’t know what to do. Jabu suggested they tell their parents and ask for help.

Munenyasha’s parents were understanding and helped her apologize to their neighbour. They also taught her the word ‘apology’ and explained its meaning.

Munenyasha learned that it’s important to take responsibility for her actions and apologize when she makes a mistake. She also learned that learning new words can help her communicate better and understand the world around her.

From that day on, Munenyasha continued to learn new words and share her knowledge with her friends and family. She became known as the smartest girl in the village and was admired by everyone.

The end.
