Self-driving vehicles have been a topic of discussion for many years, and with the advancements in technology, they are becoming a reality. However, with the introduction of self-driving vehicles, there are concerns about the security issues that come with them. Security issues of self-driving vehicles refer to the potential risks and vulnerabilities that could be exploited by malicious actors to cause harm to the vehicle, passengers, or other road users. These security issues could range from cyber-attacks to physical attacks on the vehicle. In this paper, we will explore the security issues of self-driving vehicles and the potential risks associated with them. We will also discuss the measures that can be taken to mitigate these risks and ensure the safety of passengers and other road users. This paper will draw on two journal articles, “Security and Privacy Challenges in the Road to Autonomous Vehicles” by K. K. Venkatesh and S. K. Gupta (2018) and “Security and Privacy in Self-Driving Cars: A Survey” by M. Conti, S. Dragoni, and G. Zanero (2018), to provide a comprehensive analysis of the security issues of self-driving vehicles.
