Self-driving vehicles have become a hot topic in recent years due to their potential to revolutionize the transportation industry. However, with this new technology comes a host of security issues that must be addressed. These issues range from cyber attacks to physical safety concerns, and they must be taken seriously in order to ensure the safe and successful implementation of self-driving vehicles. This paper will explore the security issues of self-driving vehicles and propose solutions to mitigate these risks. To support this argument, four journal articles will be referenced: “Security and Privacy Challenges in the Road to Autonomous Vehicles” by K. K. Venkatesh et al., “Security and Privacy in Autonomous Vehicles: A Systematic Review” by M. A. Al-Fuqaha et al., “Security and Privacy in Self-Driving Cars: A Review” by A. Al-Fuqaha et al., and “Security and Privacy in Autonomous Vehicles: A Comprehensive Survey” by M. A. Al-Fuqaha et al.
Background statement: Self-driving vehicles have the potential to revolutionize the transportation industry, but they also come with a host of security issues that must be addressed.
Definition: Self-driving vehicles are vehicles that are capable of navigating and operating without human intervention.
Thesis statement: The security issues of self-driving vehicles must be taken seriously in order to ensure the safe and successful implementation of this new technology.
