The law of Newton, also known as Newton’s laws of motion, are three physical laws that form the foundation for classical mechanics. They were formulated by Sir Isaac Newton in the 17th century and are as follows:

  1. Newton’s First Law: An object at rest will remain at rest, and an object in motion will remain in motion at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external force.

  2. Newton’s Second Law: The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass. This can be mathematically expressed as F = ma, where F is the net force, m is the mass of the object, and a is the acceleration.

  3. Newton’s Third Law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This means that when one object exerts a force on another object, the second object exerts an equal and opposite force back on the first object.

These laws describe the relationship between the motion of an object and the forces acting upon it, and they are fundamental principles in the study of physics and engineering.
