Once upon a time, there was an astronaut named Alex who had been to space. Alex had seen many amazing things in space, including the different planets in our solar system. One day, Alex was asked to teach Primary 1 children about space and the planets in our solar system.

Alex began by telling the children that there are eight planets in our solar system. The first planet closest to the sun is Mercury. Mercury is a very hot planet because it is so close to the sun. It is also the smallest planet in our solar system.

The second planet from the sun is Venus. Venus is known as the “morning star” or the “evening star” because it is so bright in the sky. It is also the hottest planet in our solar system.

The third planet from the sun is Earth. Earth is the only planet in our solar system that has life on it. It is also the only planet with water on its surface.

The fourth planet from the sun is Mars. Mars is known as the “Red Planet” because it appears red in the sky. It is also the planet that scientists are most interested in exploring because it is the most similar to Earth.

The fifth planet from the sun is Jupiter. Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. It is also known for its many moons.

The sixth planet from the sun is Saturn. Saturn is known for its beautiful rings. It is also the second-largest planet in our solar system.

The seventh planet from the sun is Uranus. Uranus is unique because it rotates on its side. It is also known for its blue-green color.

The eighth and final planet in our solar system is Neptune. Neptune is the farthest planet from the sun. It is also known for its blue color.

Alex told the children that each planet is different and unique in its own way. He also told them that there is still so much to learn about space and the planets in our solar system. The children were amazed by all the information Alex had shared with them and couldn’t wait to learn more about space.
