. 1. Create a program that stores a list of your favorite movies and print the list when the program is run. 2. Create a program to store details of your friends, such as their name, age, and favorite hobby. When the program is run, it should print out a message for each friend. 3. Create a program that takes a string of words (e.g. “Hello World”) as an argument and stores it in a dictionary data structure with each word being a key and the letter count as its value. When the program is run, the dictionary should be printed. 4. Create a program to store details about a holiday, such as the destination, dates and activities. The program should take user input and add this information to a list data structure. When the program is run, it should print out a summary of the holiday. 5. Create a program that takes a list of numbers as an argument and stores it in a set data structure. The program should then determine if the list has any duplicate numbers and if so, it should remove them and print the updated list.

Measuring the infiltration rate of soil is a process that can be done quickly and accurately with a Guelph Permeameter. To begin, you need to set up the permeameter. Place the cylinder at the desired location within the soil and fill the cylinder with water. Are the cylinder and the area around it are level? Then, use the attached pump to begin pressurizing the water in the cylinder to a given pressure. Once the desired pressure has been reached, it's time to begin the measurement. Use the stopwatch to note how long it takes for the pressure to drop from the given pressure to zero pressure. The time it takes for the pressure to drop is your soil infiltration rate. To keep measurements accurate, make sure to use the same pressure each time, and only measure one area of soil at a time. Also, use a new cylinder each time you make a measurement. Repeat these steps in various areas on the soil to get a comprehensive picture of the soil infiltration rate. Finally, for further accuracy and control, you can also use the included depth gauge to determine the depth of the cylinder within the soil.

Once upon a time, there was a mysterious and ancient clock tower that stood bold and proud against the dark, starry night sky. Within the gloomy shadows of the tower, lived a wise and magical being, known to be both powerful and kind. As the sun would rise each morning, soft enchanting music would drift from the tower and everyone in the small village nearby would listen in awe with excitement. Every few months the powerful being would hold a grand and fantastical fair at the tower. Villagers from far and wide would come to visit and see the wonderful sights. There were large bustling stalls that sold a variety of items and snacks, each more delicious and mouth-watering than the last. The place was filled with amazingly vibrant colours, gleefully laughing children, and dancing villagers. At the centre of the fair was a majestic stage where acrobats performed daringly and skilfully, while clowns joyfully entertained the crowd. The fairytale of the clock tower and its magical being was an awe-inspiring, majestic, and delightful adventure for all who attended.

Lesson Title: Writing a Fabulous Adventure with Adverbs Grammar Focus: Adverbs Objective: To create an imaginative story that incorporates adverbs. Materials: Notebooks, pencils, paper Warm-up Activity: Ask students to work in small groups to generate as many words as they can think of that will help them to create a vivid and interesting story. As groups create their lists, ask them to look for adverbs that are included, such as quickly, eagerly, silently, etc. (15 minutes). Direct Instruction: Explain to the students that their final project for the lesson will be to create their own imaginative stories that include adverbs to add detail and spark their reader’s imagination. Explain that adverbs modify verbs and often end with -ly. Give examples of sentences that include adverbs and then have the class come up with their own sentences with adverbs (10 minutes). Guided Practice: Ask the students to write a brief story of their own, using the words they generated in their brainstorming activity, with a focus on incorporating adverbs into their story. Ask them to share their stories with a partner and give feedback on the use of adverbs (20 minutes). Independent Practice: Students will use the ideas they have generated in their story to write a more elaborate and detailed story. Remind them to use adverbs where necessary to enhance the story. Encourage them to use their own creativity as much as possible (45 minutes). Closure: Ask students to share their stories with the class, focusing on the examples of adverbs they used (10 minutes). Assessment: Ask students to write a reflective paragraph about their story and how they used adverbs to add to the richness of the story (10 minutes).

Pastoral care is an important part of my classroom - I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and accepting classroom environment, both physically and emotionally. I try to get to know each student and their individual background and situation, so that I can be sensitive to their individual needs. At the start of the year I encourage my students to get to know each other, through activities like group discussions and problem-solving activities. Additionally, I ensure that there are emotional and physical escapes provided to the students throughout the year, which allows them to take a break if they need to. I am always available to listen and provide advice or support if any students need it, and I often refer students to the appropriate support services if needed.

Dawn illuminated the dark, vast woods; dappling the trees with golden beams of light. Joy and Mike, two friends, entered the wood, their faces lit with excitement. Warily, they made their way through the forest, Joy's cautious footsteps slowly in front. A blanket of lavender and lily of the valley enveloped them as they walked, and soon they ventured deep into the forest. At first, the trees were alive with cheerful birds singing songs; but soon this symphony died and a serene silence spread like a mist through the woods, bar a few heavy drops of rain. The rain soon gave way to the sun and a spectrum of colour suddenly swept through the forest. Soft pinks and greens merged all around, a kaleidoscope of vibrant natural shades, accentuating the woods' beauty. Mike and Joy weaved their way through the trees, hand in hand. As they progressed, hints of oranges and purples became visible in the distance, symbolizing a much deeper connection between the two young adventurers. They eventually stopped in a clearing, where the sun shone brighter than ever before. The light revealed a single, old tree, standing tall in the field. Its bark was a deep brown, and it stood out against the backdrop of muted greens and yellows. As they stepped closer to the tree, they felt a magnetic pull, an inexplainable force that drew them together. The tree symbolized the strength and connection of their friendship, and from that day on Joy and Mike held true to it. Every summer without fail, one was sure to find them walking through the trees, hand in hand; strong in the knowledge that their connection was eternal, even in the most beautiful of forests.
